General Overview: Issued 8.40th August:
A ridge of high pressure continues to dominate the skies, btu we are keeping a close eye a new frontal forming in the SW likely to bring a period of active weather later week, with brief rain looking likely for many regions - some Goodluck, with modelling showing the strongest winds about the Marlborough Sounds where wind furs of up to 90kph are possible on Thursday,

NOTE: low level snow now more looking more unlikely, however snow is still possible on higher ground and the tops of the highest roads. See Snow Cast for more updates..
