Private Forecast

A Private Forecast is a short, hand-written 1–2 day forecast prepared for one specific place — a town, farm, event site, alpine route or exact address — and emailed directly to you. You tell us the location, the timeframe and what you actually need to decide, and a SIMA forecaster tailors the detail to that.

Standard and Express

Standard ($2.99 NZD) is delivered within 24 hours. Express ($5.99 NZD) is delivered within 4 hours during operational hours of 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Both cover a detailed 1–2 day period for your specified region, town or exact location, with a custom focus on the elements that matter to you — wind speed and direction, chance of rainfall, expected rainfall amounts, temperature, or specific weather hazards.

How ordering works

Choose Standard or Express, fill in your name and email, the area you need covered, the forecast timeframe, and your request in your own words. After a quick captcha check you will be shown the payment step. At this stage we accept PayPal only, with more payment methods coming soon. Your request details are sent to the SIMA team when you click through to PayPal, so have your payment ready to complete the order.

A note on accuracy

Weather forecasting is an inherently complex science involving constantly changing atmospheric conditions and localised microclimates. While SIMA uses the most up-to-date data and professional analysis available, weather can be tricky and unpredictable, and we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy for every prediction. Private forecasts are independent guidance and do not replace official MetService watches and warnings.
